2026 Climbing Show: a look back at two intense days
- 5 min reading
The YY community will be there at the Salon de l’Escalade climbing show!
Discussing training, progressing together, exchanging ideas: it's the YY community that drives us forward.
That's exactly why we were atthe 2026 Climbing Show on January 10 and 11. It was a special opportunity to meet you, talk about training, your projects, and your equipment, and above all, take the time to listen to your feedback, ideas, and desires.
Thank you to everyone who came to see us, and congratulations to all those who took part in our challenges. Lots of you tried your luck! In fact, there's some big news on that front:
How far would you have gone in our challenges?
There was tension surrounding our two training challenges! And that's normal: there was a crowd there to cheer on the participants.
Sweat on the VerticalBoard challenge
Objective: Hold on as long as possible to a 20mm grip on our VerticalBoard One hangboard .
This year, we came close to Lana's record at the Outdoor Mix: 2 min 28 sec, with a top score during the show of 2 min 03 sec! Well done, Eliott!

Record broken on the Mini Crux Challenge!!
Objective: lift as much weight as possible with our Mini Crux apparatus, pulling on the 25mm.
We thought the record set on July 15 in Chamonix would never be broken! We had to wait until Sunday, but congratulations to Micky for his top score!
New record: 138 kg! (That's 13 microwaves lifted 25 mm off the ground. Hats off to the artist!)

Pro athletes and renowned climbers have tried their hand at it, including Ina Plassoux, Cyprien Bossut, Esteban Daligaut, and Coraline Ribeil, but no one has been able to dethrone the unstoppable Micky.
A podium finish for our athlete Manon Hily!
You weren't the only ones who performed well this weekend. At our stand and on the walls, the athletes also gave it their all! Qualification after qualification, amateurs and professionals battled it out to reach the final of the Rock Tour, a competition that is an integral part of the Salon de l'Escalade.
Manon Hily was present at the competition and took part in Saturday's bouldering event. Qualifying for the final, she finished in second place, putting on an impressive performance, notably by flashing the Kilter boulder and the third and final boulder, Volx.

This performance is part of anexceptional year for Manon. On the cliff, she completed her second 9a (Trip Tik Tonik, near Grasse), then her first 9a+ (Punt'X, in Nice) a few weeks later.
Our undisputed Jul fan continues to surpass herself with her characteristic patience and precision. We eagerly await her next project, and it is precisely for these reasons that we are proud to support her. It is this kind of achievement that inspires us to create our products.
Our hangboard supports hangboard the star product!

Products such as VerticalBase, one of our two new hangboard mounts. Released in early November, you cleared our stock in a month.
We had 10 copies left. The last 10 VerticalBase copies available sold out in less than two hours on the first day of the trade show. Thank you for this incredible enthusiasm! We promise we will do our best to restock as soon as possible. We will keep you informed!
By the way, if you want to be one of the first to know when it comes back, you can sign up on this page by clicking on the "Notify me when item is available" button. Enter your email address and we will send you a notification when it is back in stock.
To sum up the 2026 edition of the Salon de l'Escalade, it was above all about exchanges, projects, and a wonderful community. Thank you for this energy and thank you to the Salon de l'Escalade for organizing it. We remain motivated for the future! :)
